Nature photographer, Chris Johnstone has been involved in conservation and the environment since 2003. Growing up in the suburbs of Glasgow, allowed Chris to witness the interaction of nature with the every expanding presence of humans - a growing aspect in nature photography. Since then he has lived in different places and, more importantly, different habitats across the UK.
Employed by the RSPB, under the Public Affairs department, Chris studied the link between people and nature and, unsurprisingly, deepened his knowledge of birds along the way. During this time he has run photography tuition and competitions to raise awareness and income for the charity.
He has produced work for local businesses, conservation charities, radio and national selling magazines. His work is also represented by fairtrade stock agency Photographers Direct.
Chris undertakes a variety of work from production of cards and fine art prints to commissions for specific needs. Use the contact link below to discuss your needs.
He currently lives in rural Derbyshire on the border of the Peak District.
