I picked up a camera for the first time in August 2006 and have since been interested in nature photography. At the time I was studying Biology at the University of St. Andrews (Scotland) and have since graduated in 2007. The majority of my photos are taken around St. Andrews where I got to grips with my new found passion. Since then I have lived in Glasgow, Dorset, Herefordshire and Derbyshire recording the landscapes and the wildlife I find in the area.

Entirely self-taught and always learning, I am building an online portfolio of my work with the hope to become professional in the future.

I use a Canon digital system comprising of a 1D MkIII body and a 30D backup body with various lenses. Although I believe photography is largely based on one's own perspective and ability to use light and other elements, having a wide range of equipment only expands the creative possibilities. My prefered software is Adobe Lightroom 2 and Photoshop CS3.
